Dondozo ist ein kolossales Wasser-Typ-Pokémon. Sein Oberkörper ist hellblau, die Mitte dunkelblau, und Lippe, Bauch sowie Flossen sind weiß. Es folgt Tatsugiri, hat einen riesigen Appetit, ist schwach gegen Gras- und Stromangriffe und evolviert nicht.

Während des Sunkissed Shores-Events kannst du Dondozo sowohl in wilden Begegnungen als auch in dreistjärigen Schlachten antreffen. Bei Siegen in Schlachten erhältst du zusätzlich einen 2× XP-Bonus.

Wilde Begegnungen während der Veranstaltung haben ein Strand-Thema. Pokémon wie Psyduck, Shellder, Marill, Shuckle, Wingull, Tepig, Helioptile, Bounsweet, Sandygast und Lechonk erscheinen häufiger.

Oricorio spielt ebenfalls eine zentrale Rolle. Baile-Stil-Oricorio erscheint in Europa, dem Nahen Osten und Afrika. Pom-Pom-Stil-Oricorio dominiert in den Amerikas. Pa’u-Stil-Oricorio kommt auf afrikanischen, asiatischen, pazifischen sowie karibischen Inseln vor. Sensu-Stil-Oricorio ist in der Asia-Pazifik-Region zu finden.

In Schlachten triffst du außerdem auf regional eingeschränkte Formen von Tatsugiri. Die Lockige Form ist in Europa, dem Nahen Osten und Afrika verfügbar. Die Hängende Form erscheint in den Amerikas, und die Dehnbare Form ist in der Asia-Pazifik-Region zu finden. Dreistjärige Schlachten beinhalten Alolan Raichu, Alolan Marowak sowie das neu hinzugefügte Dondozo.

Das Sunkissed Shores-Event folgt direkt auf das Dark Skies-Event in Pokémon GO. Vom 18. bis 23. August konzentrierte sich jenes Event auf Dynamax-Pokémon in Max-Schlachten.
