Das neueste Update von Grand Theft Auto Online löst Kontroversen aus, indem es die Remote-Einnahme von Geschäftseinkommen auf GTA-Abonnenten beschränkt. Der am 25. Juni veröffentlichte DLC „Bottom Dollar Bounties“ führte ein Kopfgeldjagdgeschäft und andere Inhalte ein.

Seit der Veröffentlichung von GTA 5 im Jahr 2013 hat Rockstar Games kontinuierlich Geschäfte (Nachtclubs, Spielhallen usw.) zu GTA Online hinzugefügt. Diese generieren passives Einkommen und erfordern traditionell, dass Spieler jeden Standort einzeln aufsuchen, um das Geld abzuholen.

Das Bottom Dollar Bounties-Update vereinfacht diesen Prozess, jedoch nur für GTA-Abonnenten. Eine neue Option in der Vinewood Club-App ermöglicht es ihnen, Einnahmen aus der Ferne zu sammeln. Nicht-Abonnenten sind von diesem Komfort-Upgrade ausgeschlossen.
