Une rétrospective célébrant le légendaire Will Eisner, un titan d'art de la bande dessinée, est maintenant en cours à la Philippe Labaune Gallery de New York. L'exposition présente des illustrations originales des œuvres emblématiques d'Eisner, y compris l'esprit et un contrat avec Dieu .

L'exposition s'étend sur la carrière prolifique d'Eisner (1941-2002), englobant les pages de The Spirit , New York: The Big City , et une présentation quasi complète de son roman graphique révolutionnaire, Un contrat avec Dieu: The Super .

Selon Labaune, "Will Eisner's The Spirit , faisant ses débuts en 1940, a révolutionné les bandes dessinées avec son style innovant et sa narration. Son utilisation magistrale des techniques cinématographiques, des dispositions dynamiques, des perspectives variées et des transitions intelligentes ont imité le flux de film. L'exposition Will Eisner ouvre le jeudi 13 février, avec une réception de 18h à 21h HE. Il se déroule jusqu'au samedi 8 mars. La Philippe Labaune Gallery (534 West 24th Street, New York) est ouverte du jeudi au samedi, 10 h à 18 h HE.
