Des anciens salariés d'Annapurna Interactive ont acquis Private Division, une ancienne filiale de Take-Two Interactive. L'acquisition fait suite à un exode important du personnel d'Annapurna Interactive en septembre 2024 après l'échec des négociations avec la PDG Megan Ellison.

Annapurna Interactive, avant son bouleversement, a publié des jeux acclamés dont Stray, Kentucky Route Zero et What Remains of Edith Finch.

La division privée, créée en 2017, a été vendue par Take-Two Interactive en novembre 2024. L'acheteur, initialement non divulgué, serait la société de capital-investissement Haveli Investments, basée à Austin. La vente a entraîné des licenciements massifs chez Private Division.

Selon Jason Schreier, Haveli Investments et les anciens employés de l'Annapurna se sont associés pour gérer les actifs restants de Private Division. Cela inclut des titres à venir comme Tales of the Shire (mars 2025), le Kerbal Space Program et un projet Game Freak inopiné.
