Sony a abordé la panne de Playstation Network (PSN) presque d'un jour, l'attribuant à un "problème opérationnel" non spécifié dans une déclaration de médias sociaux. La société n'a proposé aucune autre explication de la cause ou des mesures préventives.

Pour compenser les abonnés PlayStation Plus, Sony ajoutera automatiquement cinq jours supplémentaires à leurs abonnements.

Les joueurs ont connu des perturbations généralisées, avec plus d'un tiers incapable de se connecter et d'autres accidents de serveur de signalement.

La panne met en évidence les préoccupations parmi les joueurs qui s'opposent à l'exigence de Sony d'un compte PSN, même pour les jeux PC solo.
