BBC Weather app and your privacy:

The BBC Weather app can show weather information based on your current location. On first installation, you'll be asked if you wish to enable this feature. You can turn it on or off anytime in Settings > Apps > BBC Weather > Permissions > Location.

If you enable this feature, the app uses your device's location to find the nearest available weather data. The BBC does not store or share your device's precise location, in line with the BBC's Privacy Policy: https://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/about/57854010.
