Application Description
The Carplounge Autopilot revolutionizes the control of your BaitBoat, utilizing an Android tablet or smartphone instead of a traditional remote. The essential software is freely available on the Google Play Store, compatible with any Bluetooth-enabled Android device. By connecting the tablet to the boat through a Bluetooth transmitter box, you gain complete control over the BaitBoat via an intuitive touchscreen interface. In manual mode, you can operate the boat as you would a standard BaitBoat, navigating it effortlessly on the touchscreen while the boat's position, route, and orientation (thanks to the compass function) are continuously updated on the map. Moreover, you can mark and name promising fishing spots detected by the echo sounder using the integrated GPS, such as "jetty left," "spot 1," or "home."
Switch to autopilot mode, and you can select and combine these points into a route with specific actions like opening the left or right hatch, releasing bait from the left or right side, or turning on the lights. For example, you could program the boat to: 1.) Navigate to "Sandbank" and open the right hopper, 2.) Proceed to "Spot 2" and open the left hopper, 3.) Return to the fishing spot and flash the lights once. The boat can then autonomously follow this route. You can store an almost limitless number of spots and routes, ensuring precise navigation with state-of-the-art measurement technology, including position and acceleration sensors, as well as the latest GPS and compass technology, achieving 90% accuracy within 30cm.
The system also smartly manages line tension when deploying multiple rods to different spots. If you tension one or both lines during the boat's movement, the built-in electronics detect this and adjust the boat's steering to counteract the pull, maintaining a direct course to the chosen target without unnecessary detours that could cause line bends.
While the autopilot replaces the standard remote control, we offer the flexibility to connect a remote control to the autopilot system. This means you can decide whether to control the boat through your tablet or the traditional remote. For the best experience with the autopilot app, all Bluetooth-enabled Android tablets are supported, with our app optimized for 10-inch tablets, allowing direct steering via the touchscreen.
The free app, accessible via the Google Play Store, is continually developed and expanded by our team. With automatic software updates available through the Play Store, we can quickly introduce new features, modifications, and enhancements without requiring you to send back the autopilot or the boat. The autopilot app updates automatically, similar to how apps update on tablets and smartphones.
Designed exclusively for use with the RT7 & RT4 V4 models.
