Capcom hat Resident Evil 9 direkt unter unsere Nase geärgert. Um beeindruckende 10 Millionen Spieler zu erreichen, veröffentlichte das Resident Evil 4 -Entwicklungsteam am 25. April ein spezielles Video in den sozialen Medien. Das Video zeigt Ada Wong in einem gedämpften Gespräch mit einem der berühmtesten Bösewichte von Gaming und wechselt dann zu Leon, umgeben von einem infizierten Pferd, der Partyhüten trägt und beiläufig in eine Kirche führt.

Die Szene wechselt dann zu einem Rocksong, wobei Dr. Salvador amüsant seine Kettensäge als wäre eine Gitarre und die Kamera zu einem triumphalen Leon-Faustpumpen. Im Hintergrund zeigt ein rustikales Zeichen stolz: "Danke fürs Spielen".
