Mobile Premium-Spiele-Updates verbessern normalerweise die Optimierung oder Kompatibilität. Allerdings führt Capcoms jüngstes Update für Resident Evil 7 Biohazard, Resident Evil 4 Remake und Resident Evil Village auf iOS und iPadOS ein immer online verfügbares DRM-System ein. Dieses System überprüft Ihre Kaufhistorie beim Start der Spiele. Wenn Sie die Bestätigung des Eigentums verweigern, wird der Antrag geschlossen. Das bedeutet, dass diese Titel nicht mehr offline spielbar sind und für jeden Start eine Internetverbindung erforderlich ist. Dies ist eine erhebliche Herabstufung gegenüber der vorherigen Offline-Funktionalität.
