DOT'S HOME

This single-player narrative game follows a Black woman in Detroit as she inhabits her grandmother's cherished house, traveling through significant historical periods where race, housing, and community intersect through challenging decisions.

DOT'S HOME creates an interactive experience that exposes systemic inequities shaping racial and geographic relationships from the perspective of affected communities. Players confront difficult scenarios involving housing discrimination, redevelopment policies, and neighborhood displacement, prompting reflection on America's housing history: "What circumstances determined where your family lives today?"

Developed through the Rise-Home Stories initiative, this project unites media creators with housing justice advocates to reenvision community narratives across generations.
