Durak features two main variations: "Flip Fool" (Durak podkidnoy) and "Transferable Fool" (Durak Perevodnoy). While sharing similarities, each offers unique gameplay nuances. The objective remains the same: be the first to discard all your cards and avoid becoming the "Fool."

Flip Fool, the classic mode, sees the attacker's remaining cards dealt to the next player if they can't beat the defender's cards. This continues clockwise until all cards are played.

Transferable Fool adds a strategic layer. From the second turn onwards, the defender can "transfer" attacked cards by playing a matching-rank card of a different suit, shifting the attack to the next player. This dynamic element significantly increases the game's complexity and excitement.
