Application Description

Forward Chess combines a chess book and a chessboard, right in the palm of your hand!

Forward Chess is an interactive ebook reader for chess. Study the book, follow the provided lines, and explore your own ideas. You can call upon the embedded Stockfish engine—one of the world's strongest chess engines—at any moment to evaluate the book's moves or analyze your own variations. With Forward Chess, you have a book, a chessboard, and a powerful analysis tool all together in one place!

A key advantage of Forward Chess is its user-friendly design. The engineers created easily accessible "Previous" and "Next" buttons for swift move navigation, plus a one-tap feature that lets you jump directly to any position by touching a move. The adjustable board diagrams are clear and easy to view.

For broader navigation, Forward Chess lets you skip directly to specific chapters, scroll smoothly through individual chapters, and manage complex variation trees with ease.

Forward Chess now includes note-taking: create, edit, or delete notes. The app also supports multiple bookmarks per book.

Forward Chess currently offers titles from these leading chess publishers: Quality Chess, Chess Stars, Russell Enterprises, Chess Informant, New In Chess, and Mongoose Press.

Dozens of new releases from these publishers are available for purchase in the Forward Chess bookstore. Several free sample books are also ready for an instant "test drive."

Forward Chess is designed to advance your chess training to the next level!
