Moth Lake offers a story-driven adventure filled with over 20,000 words of text and more than 300 unique scenarios. The narrative takes you through a mystery, delving into horror and the inner lives of the characters. While it tackles dark and sad themes, it also includes humorous and bizarre elements, making it difficult to categorize strictly as a horror game.

In this 2.5D world, players control main characters who interact with numerous hotspots and NPCs. Solve puzzles by manipulating objects and performing various actions. The modern pixel art features a rich color palette and extensive animations for actions such as talking, walking, running, crouching, and more.

The game's environments are enhanced with modern lighting, shading, particle effects, and parallax scrolling to mimic a 3D feel. With six main characters and over 50 NPCs, each with distinct looks and personalities, you can control up to seven characters in the main story and more in additional chapters. Characters exhibit dynamic eye movements, facial expressions, and unique behaviors.

Player choices influence character moods and the storyline.
