The latest v0.13.0 update for *Fields of Mistria* has introduced a plethora of exciting new content, features, and quality-of-life improvements that players have been eagerly anticipating. One of the most requested features now available is the ability to adjust the daytime speed, allowing players to accomplish more within a single day. If you're curious about how to utilize this new feature, here's a detailed guide on how to change the day length in *Fields of Mistria*.

With the v0.13.0 update released on March 10, *Fields of Mistria* now allows you to customize the length of daytime hours. This feature is accessible to all players, regardless of their progress in the game.

To begin, load your current game save from the Main Menu. Once you're back on your farm, open the Pause Menu and navigate to the **Settings tab** (represented by a cog wheel icon) located at the bottom. From there, select **‘Accessibility’** from the left-hand drop-down menu. At the top of this section, you'll find the **‘Day Time Speed’** option, which defaults to ‘Standard’.

Click on it, and you'll receive a warning that extending daytime hours might affect certain NPC schedules, which are tailored for the Standard setting. If this doesn't concern you, you can adjust the daytime speed to one of two alternate settings – **‘Longer’** or **‘Longest’**. From general observations, ‘Longer’ significantly extends daytime, while ‘Longest’ offers even more time, making it the preferred choice for many players.

To apply your chosen setting, simply **have your character sleep in their bed** until the day changes. Once the new day begins, your adjusted daytime duration will take effect. If you wish to switch to another setting, just repeat the process.

In cozy farming sims like *Fields of Mistria* and its predecessor *Stardew Valley*, time management is crucial. Typically, you have a limited window each day to manage your farm and engage with the town. Activities such as mining can consume an entire day, requiring careful planning to return home before exhaustion. While the Teleportation Chalice addresses some of these issues, the v0.13.0 update's new feature to adjust daytime speed has been warmly welcomed by the community, offering a significant quality-of-life enhancement.

This guide covers how to change the day length in *Fields of Mistria*. For more tips and strategies, be sure to explore our other content, including guides on how to make money quickly in the game.
