Dell unveiled the new Alienware Area-51 gaming PC at CES 2025. The chassis retains a similar appearance to the 2024 R16 model but features enhanced aesthetics, improved cooling, and updated components. The I/O panel is now located at the top of the case rather than the front, and the tempered glass window spans the entire side panel, removing the need for side panel vents. Air intakes are now at the bottom and front of the case, promoting a positive airflow design that helps keep the interior less dusty. The internals have been refreshed with a new motherboard, faster RAM, and a more powerful power supply to support the latest generation of CPUs and GPUs.
The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 stands as the most powerful consumer GPU on the market. While Nvidia has focused on software updates, AI features, and DLSS 4 technology to enhance gameplay performance, the RTX 5090 still delivers a significant 25%-30% performance increase in raw hardware-based raster performance compared to the RTX 4090.
