In our 2024 iPad Pro M4 review, Jacqueline Thomas noted, "For creative professionals, the 2024 iPad Pro is the market's most powerful tablet, excelling in touchscreen-centric workflows. For everyone else, its gorgeous display and high-performance hardware ensure it remains a top-tier device for years to come."
The 2024 iPad Pro reigns supreme, outperforming all other tablets—iOS or otherwise—thanks to its new M4 processor, a powerhouse of both performance and efficiency. Boasting approximately 20% better performance than its M2 predecessor, the iPad Pro's most significant upgrade isn't the M4 chip, but rather its innovative tandem OLED panel—a first for Apple products. Tandem OLED technology delivers superior brightness and significantly reduces burn-in compared to traditional OLED. Its absence in larger TVs stems from cost-effectiveness limitations at those scales. The iPad Pro's smaller 11-inch screen makes this technology feasible, though it contributes to its higher price point compared to other iPads in Apple's 2024 lineup.
