Black and White Kyurem Debut at Pokémon Go Tour: Unova Global Event

May 17,2025 Author: Thomas

The legendary Black Kyurem and White Kyurem are set to make their thrilling debut during the Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global. These Pokémon introduce exciting new Adventure Effects that will enhance your Pokémon catching experience outside of battle. Don't forget to leverage the Tour Pass to maximize your earnings during the event.

Black Kyurem's Freeze Shock envelops wild Pokémon in electrically charged ice for 10 minutes, immobilizing them and making them easier to catch. On the other hand, White Kyurem's Ice Burn slows down the target ring during encounters, aiding you in achieving those coveted Excellent Throws. Both effects can be extended by 10-minute increments, up to two hours at a time, with a total duration of 24 hours.

During the event, you can challenge Black Kyurem and White Kyurem in five-star raids to gather Fusion Energy. After fusing Zekrom or Reshiram with a Kyurem that knows Glaciate, Freeze Shock or Ice Burn will take its place. These moves will revert back to Glaciate once the Pokémon are separated. It's important to note that currently, Kyurem cannot learn these new moves through Charged TM or Elite Charged TM.

You'll have the opportunity to choose between two event badges – the Black Version (Reshiram) or the White Version (Zekrom). Opting for the Black Version means that Kyurem encountered after defeating Black Kyurem will know Glaciate, along with receiving Reshiram-themed Special Research rewards. Choosing the White Version grants Zekrom-themed Special Research rewards, and Kyurem encountered after defeating White Kyurem will also know Glaciate.

For those looking to redeem *Pokemon Go codes*, here's a list of active codes you can use!

To enhance your progression, the Tour Pass is your key to unlocking rewards and boosting your Adventure Effects. Earn Tour Points by catching Pokémon, completing raids, and hatching Eggs. You can also expedite your progress with quick Pass Tasks. Reaching Major Milestones will increase your Catch XP and extend the duration of Freeze Shock or Ice Burn.

For an even more rewarding experience, consider upgrading to the Tour Pass Deluxe. This premium version offers an immediate encounter with Victini, additional event-themed encounters, an exclusive avatar item, and the new Lucky Trinket. The Lucky Trinket is a one-time-use item that allows you to become Lucky Friends with someone from your Friend List, thereby enhancing your next trade.

Mark your calendars: Pokémon Go Tour: Unova – Global will run from February 24th to March 2nd.
