Blizzard has unveiled plans for the Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour, a series of six conventions set to take place in various global cities. Fans eager to celebrate the legacy of Warcraft can secure free tickets to these events, which are scheduled between February 22 and May 10.
In 2024, Blizzard chose to forego BlizzCon, opting instead to participate in other events like Gamescom and launch its first digital Warcraft Direct. This presentation showcased a wealth of content for World of Warcraft, Hearthstone, Warcraft Rumble, and the classic Warcraft RTS games.
As we step into 2025, Blizzard continues to surprise its community with the announcement of the Warcraft 30th Anniversary World Tour. This tour celebrates significant milestones from the previous year, including the 20th anniversary of World of Warcraft, the 10th anniversary of Hearthstone, and the 1st anniversary of Warcraft Rumble. The tour kicks off in London, UK, on February 22, and will make stops in Seoul, South Korea; Toronto, Canada; Sydney, Australia; Sao Paulo, Brazil; before culminating in Boston, US, on May 10, coinciding with PAX East.

While details on the specific activities at these conventions are scarce, Blizzard has promised live entertainment, unique activities, and opportunities to meet the developers behind the Warcraft franchise. These gatherings are designed to be more about creating memorable experiences than making major game announcements, setting them apart from events like BlizzCon and Warcraft Direct.
Tickets for these conventions are not available for purchase at this time, and they may not be sold at all. Described as "intimate gatherings," Blizzard has indicated that the tickets will be free but extremely limited. Information on how to obtain these tickets will be shared via regional Warcraft channels, so fans should stay tuned for updates.
The question of whether Blizzard will host BlizzCon in 2025 remains unanswered. Given World of Warcraft’s roadmap, a late summer or early autumn BlizzCon could be an ideal platform to showcase the upcoming Midnight expansion, including the much-anticipated player housing systems. Although Blizzard skipped BlizzCon in 2024, it hasn't ruled out future events, hinting at a possible shift to a biannual convention model similar to Final Fantasy 14’s Fan Festival. Regardless, the Warcraft World Tour promises to be a unique and thrilling experience that fans won't want to miss.
