Camper Waits for Switch 2 at San Francisco Nintendo Store Before It Opens

The Nintendo Store in San Francisco won't open its doors for another month, yet it has already attracted its first camper eager for the Nintendo Switch 2. YouTuber Super Cafe documented his journey in a video released on April 8, detailing his flight to San Francisco. He's set to camp out not only for the release of the highly anticipated Switch 2 but also for the grand opening of the store itself, scheduled for May 15.
Super Cafe, who traveled over 800 miles, plans to hold out for the next two months to be the first in line on the west coast. Reflecting on his decision, he admitted, "I've only lived in my apartment for two months. I like, just moved out. Terrible financial decision on my end. Whatever, who cares."
Now, the San Francisco store joins the ranks of the New York store, where another YouTube content creator is also camping out for the Switch 2. Super Cafe mentioned that he's mostly going solo but encouraged others considering camping out for the San Francisco opening to reach out to him.
As for the practicalities of life during his campout, such as accommodations, food, and showers, Super Cafe plans to cover these details in a future Q&A.

The tradition of camping out for major Nintendo releases, especially consoles, has deep roots. With campers now at both coastal Nintendo stores, it remains to be seen whether this will spark a trend of others joining the queue. Nonetheless, these dedicated creators are clearly committed to their cause.
