In the early stages of your journey through the Ligneus Region with Yumia and your friends in *Atelier Yumia*, you'll unlock the ability to set up camp, which allows for deeper interactions with your companions. Understanding when and where to build a camp can be a bit tricky, so here's a detailed guide on how to camp in *Atelier Yumia*.
How to Craft a Camping Set in Atelier Yumia
You'll unlock the ability to craft Camping Sets via Simple Synthesis after you clear the manabound Dux Lighthouse. This is the first manabound area Yumia will tackle in the story. Once you've built a base on the newly revealed land, return to the Ligneus Survey Base and talk to Erhard to unlock the camping feature.
To craft a Camping Set, you'll need the following materials:
- 5% Energy
- 3 Wood
- 2 Water
- 5 Fiber
- 2 Charcoal
These materials are easily found around the Ligneus Survey Base. You can gather Water from wells scattered throughout the region or by harvesting plants along riverbanks, which also yields fiber. Charcoal is a byproduct of breaking down ore.
Once you have the materials, access the Simple Synthesis menu and ensure you have a 4×4 space available for crafting. If not, the Camping Set will be sent to your stash at the Atelier or one of your bases.
Where to Camp in Atelier Yumia
With your Camping Set ready, you can set up camp in any open space. You won't be able to camp on narrow cliffs or in dense forests; you'll need to find a more open area. There are numerous campsites available, such as the River Campsite near the Ligneus Survey Base, which are perfect spots for setting up camp.
If you have a Camping Set in your Exploration Bag, you can check the radial menu to see if the Camping option in the bottom right corner is highlighted. If it's greyed out, you won't be able to camp in that location.
What to Do While Camping in Atelier Yumia
Camping is your opportunity to cook the food you gather during your exploration, making it essential to find a spot to rest before tackling a boss or entering a manabound area, particularly on higher difficulty settings.
Additionally, camping allows for unique dialogue with your companions, which, while not crucial to the story, helps you get to know them better and enriches your overall experience.
