When diving into the challenging world of *The First Berserker: Khazan*, a game firmly rooted in the Soulslike genre, players are met with formidable adversaries right from the start. Yetuga is your first boss encounter in *The First Berserker: Khazan*, and it doesn’t hold back. This beast is known for its relentless aggression, utilizing both close and long-range attacks, including a powerful leaping slam. To emerge victorious, mastering the game’s combat mechanics—particularly dodging and parrying—is crucial.

Yetuga’s arsenal includes:

  • A two-hit combo starting with a left-handed downward smash followed by a right-handed uppercut.
  • A four-hit combo consisting of horizontal swipes with either arm.
  • A downward smash using both arms.
  • A leaping single-handed smash.
  • A jumping grab.
  • A charge attack.

Understanding and adapting to Yetuga’s attack patterns is essential. You'll need to find openings to strike back after dodging or parrying its moves. Parrying, aside from the jumping grab, not only prevents damage but also inflicts significant Stamina damage on Yetuga. Exploiting its charge by letting it crash into a wall can create a brief window for attacks, allowing you to target and destroy the ice spikes on its back, thereby reducing its offensive capabilities.

In the second phase of the battle, Yetuga becomes even more dangerous. It will roar and power up, signaling a shift in its tactics. It picks up a giant rock to smash towards you, so timing your dodge or parry is key. Additionally, it unleashes a frost breath that creates ice spikes, which you must avoid or parry. Use this phase to land Potent Attacks when possible, and when Yetuga is exhausted, unleash a Brutal Attack for significant damage.

Upon defeating Yetuga, you'll be rewarded with 4,800 Lacrima, along with Frozen Mountain gear items and the Necklace of Resolve. These rewards are testament to your skill and perseverance in *The First Berserker: Khazan*.

With this strategy, you're now equipped to tackle Yetuga in *The First Berserker: Khazan*. For further assistance with the game, be sure to check out resources on The Escapist.

*The First Berserker: Khazan is currently available in Early Access.*
