"Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.: Function and Acquisition Methods"

Conquering a level in the co-op game *R.E.P.O.* is no small feat, and when you and your crew finally roll into the Service Station after a hard-won victory, it's time to gear up with new weapons and upgrades, including the coveted Energy Crystals. Here's a detailed look at what Energy Crystals do in *R.E.P.O.* and strategies to acquire more.

What Are Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.?

Energy Crystals are gleaming yellow gems you'll find at the Service Station, available after you've successfully navigated through the first level. Priced between $7K and $9K, these crystals are most affordable early in the game when the difficulty level is lower. If you've managed to keep your losses minimal against the game's monsters, you should be able to stock up on them right away.

Once purchased, an Energy Crystal will spawn an Energy Container/Station within your R.E.P.O. truck. This container is a vital asset, allowing you to recharge essential tools like the Valuables or Extraction Tracker by simply placing them inside. Not only does this reduce the need for costly replacements, but it also helps your team save money over time. To recharge an item, place it in the bin next to the container, marked by a distinctive yellow lightning bolt, and watch it power up, ready to tackle the next Clown, Gnome, or Shadow Child.

The Energy Crystals automatically appear in the container upon purchase and will gradually lose energy with each use. They aren't everlasting and will eventually break, necessitating replacement to keep the container operational. One crystal is typically sufficient to refill four battery sections of an item, while six crystals are needed to completely fill the Energy Container.

How To Get More Energy Crystals in R.E.P.O.

Energy Crystals are exclusively available for purchase at the Service Station, and their high cost means you'll need to strategize carefully. To ensure you have enough cash, loot and scavenge as many valuables as possible during each level. Only by passing a level with sufficient funds will you gain access to the Service Station, courtesy of the Taxman.

In particularly challenging locations, it's wise to focus on exiting the level with just enough money to progress, rather than risking everything in pursuit of more valuables. This cautious approach can make all the difference in maintaining your stock of Energy Crystals.

That's the scoop on Energy Crystals in *R.E.P.O.* and how you can secure more to enhance your gameplay. *R.E.P.O. is available now on PC.*
