This free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter initially hit the PC market via Steam on March 6. Although the console versions were initially planned for the same release date, they've been delayed to ensure optimal performance. The good news is that the upcoming console launch will feature cross-play functionality across all platforms, ensuring you can squad up with friends no matter where they're playing.

⚫︎ On March 18, FragPunk introduced a new balance update without any server downtime. This update brings increased overall movement speed and refined footstep audio effects, enhancing your gameplay experience. It also includes weapon and Lancer ability balancing, the removal of the “Hide your name” option to bolster anti-cheat efforts, and fixes for various gameplay and user interface issues.

⚫︎ Bad Guitar, the developers behind FragPunk, announced a delay in the console release due to "unexpected technical challenges in optimization and adaptation." This decision came after identifying issues during compliance testing for the Xbox and PlayStation versions. To ensure a seamless experience across all platforms, the launch has been postponed. As a gesture of goodwill, all console players will receive rewards upon the game's release, including in-game currencies, cosmetics, and experience boosts.
