Genshin Impact is set to introduce Yumemizuki Mizuki, a new 5-Star Anemo character from Inazuma, in Version 5.4. As the storyline in Natlan wraps up with Version 5.3, players can look forward to a smaller but intriguing adventure in Inazuma. The flagship event in this update will focus on yokai, with Yae Miko playing a central role.
Mizuki, a character rumored since late 2024, has been confirmed as Inazuma's first Standard Banner character in the Version 5.4 beta. As a 5-Star Anemo Catalyst, Mizuki offers a versatile role similar to Sucrose but with the added benefit of healing capabilities. While Sucrose may have specific advantages, Mizuki's flexibility makes her an asset in many Taser team compositions.
The official reveal of Yumemizuki Mizuki came later than anticipated on the Genshin Impact Twitter account, highlighting her unique background. Mizuki is not only a tapir yokai but also a psychologist and the majority owner of Aisa Bathhouse. Her longstanding friendship with Yae Miko suggests that she will be introduced during the flagship event, and players can also anticipate a dedicated Story Quest for her in Version 5.4.

While Version 5.3 is packed with content, Version 5.4 will be more modest, featuring only one new character, one Story Quest, and no new Artifact Domain or map expansion. Consequently, the number of Primogems available will be lower than usual. Players are advised to save their Lantern Rite rewards for Version 5.4, especially if they're interested in securing characters like Furina or Wriothesley from Fontaine.
