"Guide to Obtaining Lightcrystal in Monster Hunter Wilds"

Gathering resources is an essential part of Monster Hunter Wilds. While slaying monsters is thrilling, crafting powerful armor and weapons requires raw materials, such as Lightcrystals. These crystals are vital for forging high-tier gear and enhancing your combat capabilities. Here’s how to efficiently farm Lightcrystals in the game.

Monster Hunter Wilds Lightcrystal Farming Locations

Lightcrystals can be mined from Mining Outcrops scattered across various areas. Keep in mind that the spawn rate is unpredictable, so patience is key. Below are the locations where you can reliably find Mining Outcrops:

  • Windward Plains: Areas 1, 2, 3, 7, 9, 10, 17
  • Oilwell Basin: Areas 4, 6, 7
  • Iceshard Cliffs: Areas 8, 16
  • Ruins of Wyveria: Area 5

After mining, Mining Outcrops typically respawn after 15 to 20 minutes. If you’re short on time, consider heading to another area to hunt for other resources before returning to loop back.

How to Use Lightcrystals

Once you've accumulated enough Lightcrystals, bring them to Gemma at Base Camp to craft or upgrade your gear. Here’s a list of equipment that requires Lightcrystals:

  • Guild Knight Sabers I
  • Dragon Perforator II
  • Dual Hatchets II
  • Triple Bayonet II
  • Iron Assault II
  • Iron Gale II
  • Chain Blitz II
  • Iron Accelerator II
  • Hyperguard II
  • Buster Sword II
  • Iron Hammer II
  • Metal Bagpipe II
  • Chrome Drill II
  • Iron Katana II
  • Iron Beater II
  • Ingot Vambraces
  • Thunder Charm III

While some items, excluding the Thunder Charm, may become outdated quickly, it’s always wise to keep upgrading your gear as you progress. For more tips and guides on Monster Hunter Wilds, check out resources like The Escapist, which offers comprehensive lists of armor sets and gameplay strategies.

Happy hunting—and don’t forget to sharpen your tools!
