If you're on the hunt for the elusive Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 graphics card, you're likely to find that standalone GPUs are still hard to come by. Your best chance at securing one is through a prebuilt gaming PC, and currently, HP is the only online retailer I've found offering an RTX 5090 prebuilt gaming PC for under $5,000. To get your hands on this powerhouse, you'll need to follow my detailed configuration steps. Keep in mind, there's no guarantee on when HP will ship your order, but if you're determined to get this card, it's worth the effort.

The Nvidia 50-series GPUs were officially announced at CES 2025. While Nvidia has focused on enhancing AI features and introducing DLSS 4 technology to boost gameplay performance over the previous generation, the RTX 5090 still stands out as the most powerful consumer GPU available, even when considering only hardware-based raster performance. This card offers a significant 25%-30% performance increase over the RTX 4090 and comes equipped with 32GB of GDDR7 VRAM.
Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 FE Review by Jackie Thomas
"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has officially taken the performance crown from the RTX 4090, albeit with a less dramatic leap than in previous generations. In terms of traditional non-AI gaming performance, the RTX 5090 shows one of the smallest generational uplifts we've seen recently. However, in games that support it, DLSS 4 delivers substantial performance gains – though you'll need to accept that 75% of the frames are generated by AI."
The Omen 45L stands as HP's flagship gaming PC and is considered one of the best prebuilt gaming PCs on the market. This model features HP's most spacious chassis, ensuring excellent cooling with four 120mm fans for system airflow and a 240mm to 360mm all-in-one liquid cooling solution for the CPU. It's powered by a robust 1,200W 80Plus Gold power supply and includes current-gen components such as an Intel Z790 motherboard, Kingston FURY DDR5 RGB memory modules, and a WD Black M.2 SSD. The chassis combines steel and tempered glass with RGB lighting, offering a premium look without the typical "gamer" aesthetic.
