Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Axe From the Lake Quest Guide

Mar 22,2025 Author: Gabriella

Embark on a rewarding side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*—The Axe From the Lake. These optional tasks often yield valuable rewards, making them well worth your time. Here's a complete guide to completing this intriguing quest.

How to Start "The Axe From the Lake" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*

To begin, head to the Tachov tavern and seek out Zdenyek the Mouth. Engage him in conversation, specifically asking him to share something insightful. He'll then reveal details about a legendary axe hidden within the lake, setting your adventure in motion.

How to Find the Axe From the Lake

Before venturing to the quest marker, gather a spade. These are commonly found in graveyards on the outskirts of towns, or can be purchased from general traders. The quest marker covers a large area; begin at the pier overlooking the water. Follow the path north until you reach an undamaged tree—Henry will comment on it. Continue along the path to a large rock; another comment from Henry will follow.

Following the path further will lead you to a gravesite near a tree. Dig it up to unearth these items: a Gemstone Silver Ring, five Marigolds, and a Broken Axe.

Repairing the Axe

To repair the axe, visit blacksmith Radovan in Tachov. He'll require a Fastening Material and a substantial 699.5 groschen. You can usually purchase the Fastening Material from Radovan himself. Once repaired, the Broken Axe transforms into the Adorned Axe. Return to Zdenyek to complete the quest and claim your reward—the Adorned Axe, ready for use in battle.

This concludes your journey through "The Axe From the Lake." For more Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 guides and tips, including treating the wounded in "Finger of God" and a breakdown of romance options, check out The Escapist.
