Lies of P Overture DLC Updates
Open To Any Sort of Considerations

Lies of P Director Choi Ji-Won's enthusiasm for innovation was reignited after diving into Elden Ring: Nightreign's network test. At the 2025 Game Developers Conference (GDC), Choi shared insights with Eurogamer on the evolution of the Souls genre. A known admirer of FromSoftware's creations, his influence is clearly seen in the design of Lies of P.
Reflecting on Elden Ring's upcoming addition, Choi commented, "Playing Nightreign was a refreshing experience, showcasing FromSoftware's continuous push for creativity and boundary-pushing. It inspired me to ensure that our Overture DLC delivers an unparalleled experience."
This inspiration has led Choi to consider venturing into multiplayer gaming, stating, "We're definitely open to exploring new avenues in our future projects."

Despite his affinity for FromSoftware titles, Choi clarified to Games Radar+ at the 2025 GDC that his inspirations are diverse. He explained, "My passion for various genres influences Lies of P. It's a melting pot of ideas from many beloved games, transformed into a unique experience for our fans."
Overture Takes 15-20 Hours for Experienced Players

Choi disclosed that the Overture DLC will offer 15-20 hours of gameplay for seasoned players, packed with numerous bosses and content initially planned for the base game's release. He shared, "Overture is deeply connected to the main game, making its development a crucial extension of the Lies of P universe."
Set as a prequel, Overture takes players back to the haunting final days of Krat, following a legendary Stalker. It includes fresh concepts and player-driven suggestions that couldn't be incorporated at launch. Choi likened this expansion to a Director's Cut, effectively rounding out the game's narrative.
He emphasized the importance of quality, saying, "We focused on delivering the best possible experience with the base game, which meant some elements had to wait. The community's support post-launch has been the driving force behind this expansion."
Overture is Not Connected to the Final Cutscene of the Base Game

During an interview with IGN at the 2025 GDC, Choi clarified that Overture does not directly tie into the base game's final cutscene. While the ending hinted at future directions for the Lies of P universe, Choi confirmed in a November 2023 Director’s Letter that a sequel is in the works, though details remain scarce.
Choi reassured fans, "We'll share updates when we're ready, ensuring the quality you expect from us amidst all pressures."

He encouraged players to revisit the base game for clues about the DLC's content, noting that he's been impressed by some fan theories circulating online.
Lies of P: Overture is slated for a Summer 2025 release, without a specific date yet announced. It will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting expansion!
