Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown from Marvel Rivals Wiki

Empire of Eternal Night: Midtown kicked off Season 1 as the first new map to be released. Designed for the Convoy mode, players are tasked with either escorting or stopping a moving payload across the map. This map, set under the ominous glow of Dracula's Blood Moon, offers a unique rendition of New York City. It's the third Convoy map in Marvel Rivals, joining Yggsgard: Yggdrasill Path and Tokyo 2099: Spider-Islands.

Key Points of Interest on this map include:

  • Baxter Building
  • Grand Central Terminal
  • Stark/Avengers Tower
  • Fisk Tower
  • Ardmore’s Bookstore
  • Timely Trend

Empire of Eternal Night: The Mystical Sanctum Santorum

The Empire of Eternal Night version of Doctor Strange’s Sanctum Santorum is a standout addition to Season 1, uniquely hosting the Doom Match mode. This mode pits players against each other in a free-for-all deathmatch, with wins awarded to those in the top half of the leaderboard and an MVP title for the overall best performer.

The Sanctum Santorum map is a stunning depiction of Doctor Strange's mystical abode, first introduced in a 1963 comic and famously featured in the MCU. Located in New York City, it serves as Earth’s supernatural defense hub in Marvel Rivals. The map is filled with secrets, Easter eggs, supernatural rooms, impossible ceilings, portals, and an infinite staircase. Players can also interact with Bats The Ghost Dog.

Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park

Scheduled for release in the latter half of Season 1, the Central Park map remains shrouded in mystery. Set in Manhattan's famous park between the Upper West Side and Upper East Side, Central Park has been a staple in various Marvel media, most recently in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.

In Marvel Rivals, the Central Park map will likely revolve around the iconic Belvedere Castle, a Gothic architectural gem located at one of the park's highest points. This setting aligns perfectly with the Empire of Eternal Night theme and could serve as a strategic hideout for Dracula within New York City.

These are all the new maps introduced in Marvel Rivals Season 1, enhancing the game's immersive experience with their unique themes and gameplay modes.
