Marvel Snap's Latest Season: Prehistoric Avengers Takes Us Back to the Stone Age

Apr 26,2025 Author: David

Curious about the origins of the Avengers? Wondering what Odin was up to before Thor and Loki came into the picture? Or perhaps you're intrigued by the mysterious Agamotto, the first Sorcerer Supreme? Marvel Snap's latest season, Prehistoric Avengers, is here to answer all these questions and more.

This season introduces prehistoric versions of the Avengers, bringing iconic characters like the first Black Panther, the original Phoenix host Firehair, Agamotto, and even Khonshu into the card game. Each of these characters comes with intricate and powerful abilities that can turn the tide of any match.

One of the most exciting additions is the new card type: Skills. These cards represent actions and abilities rather than characters. When played, Skills are Banished, meaning they're gone for good, have no Power, but cost less Energy to play. Agamotto himself comes with a Skill card, adding a fresh layer of strategy to your gameplay.

By the eye of- oh you know by nowBut the excitement doesn't stop there. Marvel Snap introduces two new locations: the Star Brand crater, which grants additional energy if you have the highest power there, and the Celestial Burial Ground, where you can discard a card and replace it with one of the same cost.

Alongside these, the new season features Spotlight Caches, offering top-level cards, both old and new, as well as variant card art. The High Voltage mode also makes a thrilling return, speeding up the pace of your matches and adding an electrifying twist to your gameplay.

Before you dive back into Marvel Snap, make sure you're equipped with the best possible deck. Check out our comprehensive tier list of Marvel Snap cards, ranked from best to worst. Even if you don't agree with every ranking, you'll find our detailed analysis and reasons for each card's placement insightful and helpful.
