NantGames has introduced a groundbreaking update for their hit RPG, MythWalker, featuring an innovative addition called Tethering. For the first time in this genre, players no longer have to traverse the realm of Mytherra alone.
What Does Tethering Add to MythWalker?
Tethering introduces cooperative gameplay to MythWalker, enabling up to three players to embark on story quests, battle foes, and collect resources together, regardless of their geographical locations. This real-time multiplayer experience allows teammates to engage with the same map simultaneously, significantly enhancing the game's dynamic play.
This feature expands beyond mere collaboration; it brings a new enemy faction to Mytherra—the Wyldevae. These ethereal beings, resembling fairies, are both enchanting and deceptive, posing a formidable challenge with their unexpected strength.
Three distinct varieties of Wyldevae have surfaced across Mytherra: Bergavae, with moth-like traits, inhabit the mountainous regions; Strandavae, reminiscent of sea creatures, dwell near islands; and Fennavae, dragonfly-inspired, lurk within swamps. Each type yields unique items and abilities, encouraging players to encounter all of them.
Additionally, new questlines centered around these mystical creatures delve into their origins and the reasons behind their emergence.
Are You Part of the Journey?
If you’re unfamiliar with MythWalker, it’s a geolocation fantasy RPG available on Android. Players can either explore the physical world to advance or utilize Navigators powered by Portal Energy from the comfort of home.
In MythWalker, you are drawn into the magical realm of Mytherra, a parallel world to Earth. Under the guidance of The Child, a mysterious entity, you set out on missions, uncover threats to Mytherra, and explore the intricate ties between the two worlds.
