Get ready, gaming fans! Nintendo has just dropped an exciting announcement about a Nintendo Direct presentation set for tomorrow. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Direct and what you can expect.
Nintendo of America has confirmed that the Nintendo Direct will go live on March 27, starting at 7:00 AM PT / 10:00 AM ET. This 30-minute event will focus on sharing updates about new and upcoming games for the Nintendo Switch. However, if you're hoping for news on the highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2, you'll need to wait a bit longer. Nintendo has made it clear that "there will be no updates about Nintendo Switch 2 during this presentation." The Switch 2 reveal is scheduled for April 2.
Check the timetable below to see when the livestream will start in your region:
What games might be showcased for the Nintendo Switch? While Nintendo is keeping details under wraps, the gaming community is buzzing with speculation. One of the most anticipated titles is Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, which was first announced back at E3 2017.
Rumors are also circulating about Pokémon Legends: Z-A, a potential remaster of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD, and a new Mario Kart game hinted at during the Nintendo Switch 2 reveal. Fans are also eagerly awaiting any news on Hollow Knight: Silksong, hoping for a long-awaited release date.
While the Direct is centered on the current Nintendo Switch lineup, it's worth noting that Nintendo has confirmed backward compatibility for the upcoming Switch 2. This means that any games announced or showcased during the Direct will also be playable on the new console.
As the countdown to the presentation continues, excitement is building. Will there be surprise announcements? Only time will tell. But one thing is for sure: Nintendo always keeps us eagerly anticipating what's next.
