While the listed price matches the MSRP, it's important to note that this card is actually priced higher than its expected value. The reference GeForce RTX 5070 Ti should retail at $750. The premium on this Gigabyte model comes from its WindForce triple fan cooling system, which typically adds about $50, and its out-of-the-box overclocking, potentially adding another $50. This brings the expected price to around $850, which is roughly $120 less than what's currently being asked.
The reality is that third-party manufacturers like Gigabyte, MSI, and Asus are capitalizing on high demand by increasing prices from the outset. At the moment, finding an RTX 5070 Ti GPU for this price or lower is challenging, as they often sell for over $1,000 on platforms like eBay.
Among the Blackwell cards released so far, the RTX 5070 Ti stands out for offering the best value, particularly when compared to previous generation GPUs. It delivers performance comparable to the RTX 4080 Super and outperforms the RTX 5080, which is only 10%-15% faster yet costs 33% more. This GPU excels at high framerates across nearly all games, even at 4K resolution with ray tracing enabled. For those considering using it for AI workloads, the RTX 5070 Ti might be a better choice than the RTX 50870, as both come equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 VRAM.
"At $749, the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti is the best 4K graphics card for most people, delivering significantly better value than either the RTX 5080 or 5090. In my comprehensive testing, this GPU excelled at 4K, closely matching the performance of much pricier graphics cards. This is even before considering multi-frame generation, which will enhance the RTX 5070 Ti's ability to achieve extremely high framerates, though with a slight increase in latency."
