It’s the Year of the Raptor for Hearthstone with Plenty of New Stuff Coming Up!

Get ready, Hearthstone fans, because 2025 is shaping up to be an epic Year of the Raptor! Blizzard has a packed schedule ahead, featuring the usual triple threat of expansions, Mini-Sets, and Battlegrounds seasons. The excitement doesn't stop there—the Heroes of StarCraft Mini-Set has already received fantastic feedback, fueling Blizzard's enthusiasm for the year. They've even shared a roadmap, offering a glimpse into what's coming next.

What Does the Year of the Raptor Bring to Hearthstone?

One of the most anticipated updates is for the Arena mode. This revamp, in the works since last year, is set to breathe new life into this classic feature, attracting a fresh wave of players. Cosmetics are also getting an exciting upgrade with the introduction of new Mythic skins, Signature cards, and the innovative addition of Pets. These adorable companions will be part of a new system for acquiring cosmetics, although Blizzard is keeping some details under wraps for now.

The Year of the Raptor officially begins with the first expansion, "Into the Emerald Dream." Card reveals are scheduled to start next week, and celebrations are already underway in-game. You can earn rewards such as The Great Dark Beyond Epic cards, packs from the new expansion, and a special Raptor Herald card by completing the Event Track.

What Else Is Coming?

A new evolving game board is set to launch alongside the expansion. The Year of the Raptor board will remain in Hearthstone throughout the year, receiving visual and audio updates with each new expansion. Additionally, the Core Set is getting a refresh, with some classic cards returning with tweaks and new cards being added to the mix.

With so many exciting updates on the horizon, now is the perfect time to dive back into Hearthstone. You can grab it from the Google Play Store if you haven't already! And don't forget to check out our next article on Crab War's Massive Update, featuring new Queen Crabs and additional features.
