Following a minor leak last week, EA has officially unveiled the title of its upcoming Star Wars game, along with the team behind its development. Named Star Wars: Zero Company, this eagerly awaited title is being crafted by Bit Reactor, with additional support from Lucasfilm Games and Respawn.

While details about Star Wars: Zero Company are still sparse, we do know that it will be a "single-player turn-based tactics game." Fans won't have to wait long for more information, as EA has scheduled a first look at the game for April 19 at Star Wars Celebration in Japan.
Bit Reactor, the developer behind Zero Company, is a newly established strategy game studio. Founded in 2022, it boasts a team of industry veterans from acclaimed titles such as XCOM, Civilization, Gears of War, and Elder Scrolls Online. While it was known that Bit Reactor was collaborating with Respawn on a Star Wars project, this marks the first time concrete details have emerged about the game.
Respawn's role in the development of Zero Company remains somewhat ambiguous. The studio has faced its share of challenges recently, including the cancellation of its own Star Wars FPS project a year ago, alongside significant layoffs at EA, and the termination of another multiplayer FPS project just last month.
Further insights into Star Wars: Zero Company will be shared during a live panel on Saturday, April 19 at 4:30pm local time in Japan. For those in the U.S., that translates to an early morning reveal at 12:30am PT and 3:30am ET, so be sure to set your alarms to catch the latest updates on this exciting new addition to the Star Wars gaming universe.
