The popular Roblox first-person shooter PvP experience, Rivals, has dropped Update 9, introducing the exciting Gunblade weapon and the dynamic Bridge map.
Developer Nosniy Games detailed these additions in today's patch notes, along with a few minor tweaks. While a smaller update than some recent releases, it still packs a punch.
Rivals players appreciate the intense FPS gameplay and diverse weaponry, and the Gunblade fits right in. This versatile weapon functions as both a ranged rifle and a melee blade, offering tactical advantages. Its effectiveness is particularly evident on the new Bridge map, a close-quarters combat arena set in Seoul, created by @GreatGuyBoom. This suspended concrete structure, featuring limited cover, forces intense, immediate confrontations.
Noticeably absent from the Rivals Update 9 patch notes are specific bug fixes, balance adjustments, or quality-of-life improvements. The developers explain this decision, prioritizing the new map and weapon. Minor modifications to the Demon Shorty and Demon Uzi skins, and renaming of some weapons, were included. Nosniy Games promises more substantial changes in the next major update, including the highly anticipated Ranked mode.
The team stated, "We hear all of your feedback and want to reassure you all that every necessary & additional changes/improvements will be made in time for Ranked."
Since its launch last May, Rivals has consistently received updates. Update 7, for instance, introduced the Energy Rifle, Energy Pistols, Crossbow, and more. For a complete list of active Rivals codes, click here. See the full Update 9 patch notes below.
