Get ready for some holiday spirit in Xion starting December 17th! Shift Up is bringing the festive cheer with new Christmas-themed costumes, decorations, and a mini-game. Eve and other characters receive stylish holiday makeovers:

• Rudolph Pack (Drone)
• I’m No Santa (Adam)

Xion Gets a Festive Makeover and a New Mini-Game

Xion transforms into a cozy winter wonderland, adorned with warm lights and festive red, green, and white decorations. The Last Gulp and Eve's camp also receive the holiday treatment, complete with seasonal BGM ("Dawn (Winter)" and "Take me away") to create a relaxing atmosphere.

A brand-new mini-game joins the festivities! While details are scarce, it involves targeting a holiday-themed drone for special rewards.

Control Your Festive Fun: Enable or Disable Seasonal Content

This update introduces the ability to customize your seasonal experience! In the game's Settings under Gameplay, find "Seasonal Event Content" and choose your preference:

• Auto: Automatically enables or disables seasonal content based on the current season.
• Disable: Deactivates seasonal content regardless of the season.
• Enable: Activates seasonal content regardless of the season.

Enjoy seasonal content on your terms! Note: The game will restart to your most recent save after changing this setting.

A Mostly Warm Welcome, with a Few Reservations

Following PlayStation's December 16th announcement on Twitter (X), the update received mostly positive feedback. Many fans creatively dubbed Eve "Christmas Eve," and praised Shift Up for consistent seasonal updates.

However, some players expressed concerns. Some questioned the frequency of event updates for a single-player game, while others found the requirement to restart the game to fully experience the seasonal content inconvenient.

Many games with seasonal content offer multiplayer or high replayability, extending the enjoyment of cosmetic items and rewards. Stellar Blade's single-player nature and approximately 30-hour playtime mean players may need to restart to fully appreciate the seasonal additions after completing the main story.
