With the constant influx of new cards in *Marvel Snap*, staying updated can be challenging. The Escapist is here to break down the latest additions and help you make the most of them. Let's dive into the best strategies for using Gorgon, Laufey, and Uncle Ben in your decks.
Gorgon is a 2-cost, 3-power card with an ability that reads: "Ongoing: Your opponent’s cards that didn’t start in their deck cost 1 more. (maximum 6)"
This card is a direct counter to Arishem decks, but it also impacts other strategies like Discard decks that rely on cards like Swarm, Iron Patriot, and Devil Dinosaur. Although the latter isn't as prevalent, Gorgon can still disrupt these decks effectively. However, its effect can be neutralized by Mobius M. Mobius or anti-Ongoing cards like Rogue or Enchantress.
Laufey is a 4-cost, 5-power card with an ability that reads: "On Reveal: Steal 1 Power from each other card here."
Laufey's ability can be incredibly potent, particularly when there are four cards in the location, turning Laufey into an effective 13-power card. It's similar to Spider-Woman but more versatile, especially when discounted by Zabu, making it easier to synergize with cards like Diamondback and Ajax.
Uncle Ben is a 1-cost, 2-power card with an ability that reads: "When this card is destroyed, replace it with Spider-Man."
Spider-Man, as you might know, is a 2-cost, 4-power card with an ability that reads: "On Reveal: Move to another location and pull an enemy card from here to there." Uncle Ben synergizes well with Destroy enablers like Carnage, Venom, and Lady Deathstrike, offering a unique twist similar to Bucky Barnes.

While these cards are considered "free," they aren't necessarily game-changers, with Laufey being the exception for those interested in affliction-style Ajax decks. Let's explore how to effectively incorporate these cards into your decks.
Starting with Gorgon, you can easily slot him into various decks. Here's a sample deck:

The Series 5 cards in this deck are Moonstone and Anti-Venom, but you can substitute Anti-Venom with Iron Lad if needed. This deck is versatile, and while Gorgon may not be your first choice for turn 2, he's excellent on turn 5 alongside a 3-drop. In game modes like Conquest, where Arishem decks are common, Gorgon shines, especially when buffed by Spectrum and Moonstone.
The primary win condition is stacking Ongoing effects with Moonstone or getting Iron Man and Mystique discounted for a powerful final turn.
For Laufey, the ideal deck is the Toxic Ajax deck:

This deck includes several Series 5 cards, which are crucial, except for Red Guardian, which you can replace with Rocket Raccoon and Groot (also Series 5). Once Luke Cage's popularity wanes, this deck could become dominant. The strategy is to win one lane with Ajax while overpowering another with cards like US Agent and Diamondback. Anti-Venom is a valuable addition when paired with Luke Cage, and Malekith often draws a powerful card from your deck, aside from Zabu.
Finally, Uncle Ben, the least impactful of the trio, is challenging to integrate into a deck. Here's a sample list:

The Series 5 cards here are Iron Patriot, Baron Zemo, and Misery, with the latter two being essential. You can swap Iron Patriot for Red Guardian if needed. The strategy is to disrupt your opponent's deck while discounting your Death, retriggering effects with Misery, and countering with Killmonger, Shang-Chi, and Lady Deathstrike. Both Killmonger and Deathstrike can destroy Uncle Ben, summoning Spider-Man to further disrupt your opponent.
Rolling for one of these three cards in the new game mode costs 1200 Charms, totaling 3600 Charms for all three. Of the three, Laufey is the most worthwhile, particularly for affliction decks. However, it might be more beneficial to spend 2250 Charms on unowned Series 4 and 5 cards, depending on your collection's needs, as the chances of drawing these specific cards are limited.
And there you have it—the best Gorgon, Laufey, and Uncle Ben decks in *Marvel Snap*. Happy gaming!
