• Monitor the websites and content your child views

Make web exploration safer for your kids by staying informed about the sites they visit and blocking potentially harmful or inappropriate content.‡

• Set limits on your child’s internet access

Help your kids balance their screen time by scheduling device usage limits.‡ This can help your child concentrate on schoolwork and minimize distractions during remote learning or at bedtime.‡

• Stay informed about your child’s physical location

Use the app's geo-location features to track your child’s whereabouts. Receive alerts when your child enters or leaves areas you have designated as points of interest. (4)

Here are some of the key Norton Family features parents can use to safeguard their child’s online experience.

• Instant Lock

Help your kids take a break by remotely locking their device, allowing them to refocus or join family time. You and your children can still contact each other while the device is locked.

• Web Supervision

Let your kids explore the web with confidence. This feature helps you block unsuitable sites while keeping you informed about their browsing history. (6)

• Video Supervision

See a list of YouTube videos your kids watch on their PCs or mobile devices, with snippets for context, so you know when a conversation might be needed. (3)

• Mobile App Supervision

View which apps your kids have downloaded on their Android devices and control which ones they are allowed to use. (5)

Time Management Features:

• School Time

Since remote learning requires internet access, turning it off isn't an option. Manage access to relevant websites and content categories to help your child stay focused during school hours.

Location Features:

• Alert Me

Stay automatically updated on your child's location. You can set specific dates and times to receive automatic alerts about the location of your child’s device. (2)

‡ Norton Family and Norton Parental Control can be installed and used on a child’s Windows PC, iOS, and Android devices, but not all features are available on every platform. Parents can monitor and manage their child’s activities from any device—Windows PC (excluding Windows 10 in S mode), iOS, or Android—via our mobile apps or by signing into their account at my.Norton.com and selecting Parental Control in any browser.

1. Parents can sign in to my.Norton.com or family.Norton.com, select Parental Control, and view their child’s activity or manage settings from any supported browser on any device.

2. Location Supervision features are NOT available in all countries. Visit Norton.com for details. To function, the child’s device must have Norton Family installed and be turned on.

3. Video Supervision monitors videos your kids watch on YouTube.com. It does not monitor videos embedded in other websites or blogs.

4. Location Supervision requires activation before use.

5. The mobile app must be downloaded separately.

6. Norton Family uses the AccessibilityService API to collect data about websites viewed through browsers on your child's device. It also prevents the child from removing permissions without parental authentication.
