Application Description

Palace - Free Classic Card Game (Also Called Shed, Karma, or "OG")

Palace was the most popular card game in my high school's study hall and cafeteria back in the 90s. According to Wikipedia, it's also a favorite among backpackers and has gained widespread popularity.

** Added new options based on user feedback (pick up the pile anytime and 7 forces a lower card).

** Added the ability to play against friends

Challenge eight unique computer opponents, each with slightly different play styles, or face off live with your friends.

Basic Rules:

Each player receives 3 'face-down cards.' You cannot look at or change these until the game’s final stages. Then, 3 'face-up cards' are placed on top. Finally, each player is dealt 3 cards to form their hand. If you want, you can swap cards between your hand and your face-up cards.

The player with a 3, or the next lowest card, begins the game.

On your turn, you must discard a card (or multiple matching cards) equal to or higher than the top card on the pickup pile. Then, draw from the deck to keep at least 3 cards in your hand (unless the deck is empty or you already have 3 or more cards).

2s and 10s are wild cards. A 2 resets the pile, and a 10 clears it. Four of a kind also clears the pile, just like a 10.

If you don’t have a card equal to or higher than the pile’s top card—or a wild card—you must pick up the whole pile.

When your hand runs out and the deck is empty, start using your face-up cards. After those are all played, move on to your face-down cards.

The first player to get rid of all their cards wins.

Palace is sometimes known as Shed, Karma, or "OG"
