Application Description

Harness demonic forces to seize victory in the French Revolution! Will you rise to power or face the guillotine?

Summon demons to triumph in the French Revolution! Will you defend the Republic, reinstate the monarchy, seize control of France, or meet a bloody end?

"Revolution Diabolique" is a 425,000-word interactive dark fantasy novel by Chris Conley. Experience this entirely text-based adventure, free from graphics or sound effects, powered solely by your boundless imagination.

As an eighteenth-century French demonologist, you practice forbidden magic safely within your provincial estate. Summon diverse demons to serve your will: some subtly manipulate your foes, some manifest as terrifying beasts, while others guide you toward unlocking deeper cosmic secrets.

As revolutionary fervor ignites, you can no longer remain neutral. Every faction—monarchists, republicans, peasants, intellectuals, anarchists—craves your power. Where will you deploy your demons? Unleash them on battlefields to sway the Revolution's armies, or march directly on Paris. Lead a political faction with forbidden knowledge. Inspire a demon-worshipping cult.

Yet all power demands sacrifice. As you ascend, you may forfeit your reputation, wealth, safety—or even your life.

When the chaos subsides, will you command France's destiny?
