"The Exit 8: 3D Liminal Space Walking Simulator Now on Android!"

The Exit 8 has now made its way to Android, blending various intriguing elements into its gameplay. Developed by Kotake Create and published by Playism, this title is available for $3.99. It stands out as a walking simulator with a unique twist, enveloped in an eerie atmosphere that challenges you with every step you take.

A Creepy Walking Adventure

In The Exit 8, you find yourself navigating an endless underground passageway reminiscent of a Japanese metro station. You're trapped in a repetitive loop where the tiles, lights, posters, and even a single man walking toward you endlessly repeat. The core challenge lies in detecting anomalies. A poster might display a different image than before, the lights could flicker excessively, or you might even encounter something as stark as a river of blood replacing the floor. The game's mechanics revolve around your ability to notice these subtle changes and respond quickly.

If you detect something unusual, you must turn back. If not, you should continue moving forward. Your objective is to reach the eighth exit without making any mistakes. This means correctly identifying and reacting to eight consecutive anomalies. Fail, and you'll have to start over from the beginning.

The Exit 8 Lets You Soak in a Surreal, Unsettling Atmosphere

The game's design draws inspiration from the concept of liminal spaces and the Backrooms, with its setting modeled after real Japanese metro stations such as Kiyosumi-Shirakawa Station in Tokyo. The claustrophobic corridors and repetitive architecture immerse you in the environment, enhancing the unsettling feel. The Exit 8 encourages active engagement with your surroundings, compelling you to scrutinize every detail that could indicate danger or a shift in reality. This constant questioning of your memory and perception ensures that each playthrough feels unique and tense.

Originally released for PC in November 2023, it took the developers approximately nine months to bring The Exit 8 to life. Following its launch, the game amassed 1.4 million downloads worldwide on Steam. Now available on mobile, you can download it from the Google Play Store.
