FortiToken Mobile is a robust One Time Password (OTP) generator application designed for mobile devices, adhering to the OATH standard for both event-based and time-based OTPs. As a crucial component of Fortinet's secure and user-friendly MultiFactor Authentication solution, it seamlessly integrates with FortiOS, FortiAuthenticator, or FortiToken Cloud for OTP validation. This app offers a cost-effective approach to enhancing your authentication security.

Privacy and Control

Rest assured, FortiToken Mobile respects your privacy and device control. It does not have the capability to alter your phone settings, capture photos or videos, record or transmit audio, or access your emails. Your browser history remains private, and the app will only send notifications or change settings with your explicit permission. Importantly, FortiToken Mobile cannot perform a remote wipe of your device. The app's visibility into your device is limited to verifying your OS version for compatibility checks. During manual installation processes for FortiToken tokens, 3rd Party tokens, and Token Transfer, you may need to enter sensitive information like your email address or token seeds.

While FortiToken Mobile requires your permission to modify settings, certain permissions are necessary for its operations:

• Camera Access: Enables scanning QR codes for straightforward token activation.
• TouchID/FaceID: Enhances app security through biometric authentication.
• Internet Access: Facilitates token activation and the reception of push notifications.
• "Send Feedback by Email": Automatically populates the sender field for ease of use.
• File Sharing: Allows internal sharing between apps to attach files when sending feedback via email.
• Wake Lock: Keeps the phone awake during internal database upgrades to prevent data corruption.
