As a devoted fan of the Harry Potter series, I find that re-reading the books is always a delightful experience, no matter how many times I've gone through them. Yet, exploring the story through different mediums adds an extra layer of excitement. While the movies offer a visual treat, the illustrated editions of the books present an even more enchanting way to dive back into the wizarding world. Although the full series of illustrated books is still in the works, fans can look forward to a new interactive edition of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," set to release on October 14, 2025, which you can preorder now.

Instead, the interactive editions of Harry Potter boast stunning illustrations along with innovative paper-engineered elements that literally leap off the page, offering a truly immersive experience. This edition features 150 full-color illustrations and elements reminiscent of a pop-up book. The illustrations are crafted by Karl James Mountford, while the papercraft designs are the work of Jess Tice-Gilbert. This marks a shift in creative direction since the previous interactive illustrated editions by MinaLima were discontinued after "The Prisoner of Azkaban." Although the style and interactive elements differ from the earlier editions, this new release is fantastic news for collectors eager to complete their set of these unique books.

The other Harry Potter books illustrated by Jim Kay currently extend through the fifth book. In 2022, Jim Kay stepped away from the project, leaving the completion of "The Half-Blood Prince" and "The Deathly Hallows" uncertain. However, there remains hope that a new illustrator will step in to finish the series, continuing to bring the magic of Harry Potter to life in illustrated form.
