While the upgrade fee for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom stands at a reasonable $9.99 each, NintendoLife has noted that both Kirby and the Forgotten Land and Super Mario Party Jamboree require more than double that amount for their respective upgrades.
The Nintendo Switch 2 Enhanced Edition of Breath of the Wild boasts improved visuals and performance, achievements, and introduces the new "Zelda Notes" feature via the Nintendo Switch Online app. Owners of the original Switch version of Breath of the Wild can access these enhancements through a $10 "upgrade pack."
The Switch 2 Edition of Kirby and the Forgotten Land introduces new story content titled "Star-Crossed World." The $20 upgrade fee for both games might be justified by the hefty $80 price tag for both Kirby and The Forgotten Land - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star Crossed World and Super Mario Party Jamboree - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV. In contrast, their original Switch versions are priced at $59.99 each.
