Mark your calendars for May 6, 2025, as announced by developer Schell Games and publisher Innersloth on their official Twitter (X) account on April 16. This game, initially known as Among Us VR, has been rebranded to Among Us 3D to bring a more comprehensive experience to players with its exciting cross-play multiplayer feature.

One of the fresh additions to Among Us 3D is the new currency called Stardust, which offers players greater flexibility in choosing what they want to unlock, and it never expires. The game will also introduce a permanent Tag Mode, featuring the new Infected role, native proximity voice chat, limited-time events, and a mix of new and returning mini-games. Plus, players can look forward to a range of new cosmetics to customize their characters.

It's important to note that Among Us 3D is a standalone game separate from the original Among Us VR, which was released in 2022. Cross-play between the two games won't be possible.
