When you're dropped into your world and onto your plot of land, you might think the goal is to protect your plot. However, the true objective is to survive, or simply put, to avoid dying. The game will throw numerous dangers at you, and your task is to endure them. Ideally, you should do this at your plot by constructing a defensive structure, but you can also roam the world until the threat passes (a strategy that works surprisingly well). Each time you survive, you earn a "Win" and some in-game currency. Accumulating Wins is key to progressing in the game. So, keep an eye on the screen messages and focus on staying alive.

… dying is completely normal

Don't be discouraged if you die; it's a common occurrence in *Build Defense*. There are minimal consequences to dying: you'll respawn immediately, lose your items, and fail the current wave of enemies, but none of these setbacks are game-ending. You can repurchase your weapons and items, and your structures remain intact as monsters and disasters can't destroy them. Another wave of attacks comes every two minutes, giving you another chance to succeed. Essentially, all you lose is a bit of time, which isn't a significant setback.

Build high, not low

Initially, building a wall around your plot might seem like a good defense strategy, but it's not very effective as monsters can exploit any entry points. A more successful approach is to construct a set of stairs that ascend high into the sky, topped with a platform. When night falls, you can climb up and wait out the danger. Monsters attempting to climb the steep stairs are likely to fall, and those who reach the top can be met with a barrage of turrets. This setup is nearly foolproof and will help you survive most nights.

Don’t just build, explore!

There's much more to do on the island than just managing your plot. You can visit other players, sell ores, and undertake quests. Most quests require a certain number of Wins to unlock, but some, like the Gingerbread's House quest, are available from the start. Completing these quests is beneficial as they can unlock new building parts, enhancing your construction options.

The “Shop” isn’t just for premium items

As you advance in the game, don't overlook the Shop. Most items there can be purchased with in-game currency, but you'll need to accumulate some Wins first. Before diving into the Shop, spend some time playing the game. Also, remember to join the Swiftplay Roblox group and to like, favorite, and follow the game to receive a free gift.

When you’re ready, move to the next area

Once you've earned 190 Wins, you can transition to the next area and start the cycle anew. You'll encounter new disasters, quests, and building opportunities.
