More Than You Can Chew challenges you to run your very own smoothie-making truck

Oopsy Gamesey have just announced the release of their latest project, More Than You Can Chew, available on PC, Android, and iOS. This innovative game combines a cooking simulation with card-based strategy, offering arcade-style challenges as you manage your very own smoothie truck, Yumfusion. The game challenges players to maintain a steady stream of customers through efficient management and strategic gameplay.

Originally developed during a game jam, More Than You Can Chew has been enhanced over time, retaining its fast-paced development ethos. The team has introduced new mechanics, modes, and even voice-acted cutscenes to fully realize their vision. Players can now immerse themselves in a thrilling blend of rapid decision-making and strategic card play, stepping into the role of an aspiring chef.

In the game, your big brother gives you a chance to prove your culinary skills by running his smoothie truck, Yumfusion, for a week. However, managing orders goes beyond simply blending fruits; each ingredient impacts the number of action cards you draw, which in turn determines how you serve your customers.

More Than You Can Chew features four levels, each with unique modifiers, enhancing the gameplay experience. Players can choose between a Story Mode, which includes voiced cutscenes, and an Arcade Mode that offers three difficulty levels and a leaderboard. Additionally, the game introduces special mechanics such as the Mishmush, which combines two flavors into one, and the Twinaroo, which splits a smoothie to optimize efficiency. Controller support is also available for those who prefer it.

The game presents players with critical decisions: should you stockpile ingredients in anticipation of a rush, or play it safe by serving orders as they arrive? With a growing line of customers, every choice you make is crucial. If this sounds like your kind of game, you can download More Than You Can Chew for free from itch.io.
