Complete Canker Quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: Guide

Mar 31,2025 Author: Jason

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, the "Canker" side quest becomes available early in your adventure, provided you've completed "The Jaunt" beforehand. This quest is a great opportunity to acquire a mace or some extra Groschen, so let's dive into how to successfully complete "Canker."

Pick Up the Canker Side Quest

To initiate the "Canker" side quest, you'll need to have a chat with Gules at Semine. A prime moment to pick up this quest is during the wedding of Lord Semine and Agnes. You can talk to Gules while he's enjoying a drink before the ceremony begins. However, if you're not attending the wedding, you can still start the quest by visiting Semine and speaking with Gules while he's on patrol. Ask him about his former band of bandits and express your willingness to help him deal with them once and for all. Canker, one of those former bandits, becomes your first target.

Find and Kill Canker

Upon accepting the quest, Canker's location will be marked on your map, situated north of Nebakov Mill. Be prepared, as the path to this location often harbors bandits who might try to ambush you. You can choose to sneak past them, engage them in combat, or simply make a dash for it. While these random bandits are generally not too challenging to defeat, losing health to them before your main combat objective can be frustrating.

The bandit camp where Canker resides is nestled within the mountains, and it's easy to overlook because you need to navigate through a narrow gap to reach it, much like when you're seeking the Hermit's Sword for the "Wedding Crashers" quest. Ensure you're ready for battle before entering, as you'll be facing Canker and his band of bandits.

The order in which you dispatch the bandits can lead some to flee, but you must eliminate most of them. Don't assume you can skip any fights, as you need to ensure Canker's demise, which is crucial for completing the quest. Fortunately, Canker won't run away, ensuring you can take him down.

Finish the Quest and Return to Gules

After defeating Canker and his crew, loot Canker's body to prove you've fulfilled your end of the bargain. Be sure to grab the Light Mace from him, though you're welcome to take any other items you find on him. Once you have the mace, head back to Gules to officially complete the "Canker" quest.

After wrapping up "Canker" in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, you'll need to wait a full in-game day before you can continue the storyline involving Gules' former bandit associates. Once the day has passed, speak with Gules again to embark on the next quest, "Handsome Charlie."
