Crashlands 2 rolled out its version 1.1 update today, bringing significant enhancements that longtime fans of the series will appreciate. Butterscotch Shenanigans introduced the patch with fresh challenges and several highly-requested features from the community.
The update introduces Legend Mode, offering tougher challenges than existing Challenge Mode. Enemies on Woanope move faster, deal more damage and boast increased health pools, while protagonist Flux Dabes becomes more vulnerable than ever.
While there aren't additional achievements for conquering Legend Mode, completing it automatically unlocks all lower-difficulty achievements as rewards.
For more relaxed players, Explorer Mode lets players forage, construct and fish without the constant threat of combat. This peaceful setting allows deeper immersion in Crashlands 2's narrative, base customization and quirky character interactions.
The most significant addition is the return of The Compendium - a direct response to player feedback. This comprehensive catalogue tracks all discoveries, including missing pets, undiscovered recipes and collectible items needed for completion.
Update 1.1 gives pets active combat roles, with each companion sporting unique abilities on a 20-second cooldown timer. Gear crafting now offers randomized bonus stats, alongside new weapons, gadgets and accessories.
Quality-of-life improvements abound, including expanded building areas, customizable teleporter placement and adjustable nighttime brightness settings.
Crashlands 2, which launched on April 10th, is available on Google Play Store. This rapid update demonstrates the development team's commitment to community feedback.
